What is the biggest trend in digital technology which will affect the travel & hospitality industry in the following years?
Consumers are moving away from standard mass-market experiences. They are looking for authentic and exclusive holidays, not only looking for a bed to stay but also for a story to tell and relying more and more on peer generated content during the travel planning, booking and story telling processes. Companies will have to move from social communication to social commerce to keep up with the trends and capture consumers. This does not only mean to rely on technology but it means that a high integration of the experience, brand presentation and social media channels will be required. CEN International is helping companies and organisations with design and story telling, marketing, digital platforms as well as systems for social integration to meet the needs of future travellers.

What is the most important challenge travel & hospitality professional will face in the digital era?
The number of platforms and touch points with consumers is increasing. Travel & hospitality professionals are already facing a challenge to manage all channels and systems that are required today. Managing the experience offline as well as online and steering and monitoring consumer generated content will be the biggest challenge in the digital era.

What solutions are you planning to present to the Digi.travel delegates and what issues these solutions solve?
We are presenting a number of solutions to the Digi.travel delegates. Foremost of all @MekongMoments, which is a visual consumer marketing campaign and travel inspiration platform that promotes the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) as a single tourism destination. It is a collaboration among travel and tourism stakeholders of all sizes. @MekongMoments builds social media marketing capacity in the Mekong region and enables experiences for tuk-tuk drivers and tour guides to large hotels and destinations to run campaigns.
